Source Policy

This page describes how Loopify Independent Media handles sources: how we choose them, how we verify what they say, and how we attribute them in published content.

Preferred sources

For news and factual claims, we prefer:

We are cautious with single-source claims, anonymous sources, and material from known partisan outlets, and we either corroborate from independent sources or frame the claim accordingly.

Verification

Before publication, the editor:

Attribution in published content

Sources are named in the script of the item itself, in the form audiences can reasonably hear or see (for example, "Reuters reports …", "according to a 2024 study published in The Lancet …"). We avoid vague attributions ("according to reports", "experts say") unless they are unavoidable and we have no better option.

Quotations

Quotations are kept short, used in the context of commentary or news reporting, and attributed to their source. We do not paraphrase someone's exact words and present them as a verbatim quotation. We do not fabricate quotations.

Use of third-party media

We do not republish substantial passages of text or large portions of third-party video or audio. Where we use a short clip or excerpt for the purpose of commentary or news reporting under applicable copyright exceptions (e.g. quotation right, news reporting), we attribute it visibly.

Corrections of source-related errors

If a source is misattributed or misquoted in a published item, we correct it under the Corrections policy and update the audit log for that item.

If you are a source

If you are a source mentioned in our content and you believe an attribution is incorrect, incomplete, or misleading, please contact support@loopify.pro. We aim to respond within five working days and to issue a correction within a reasonable time where one is warranted.
